My Photography Workshops and tours are tailored to photographers who are looking to improve their basic understanding and use of their equipment, as well as techniques for creating more visually compelling imagery. Photographers of all experience levels are welcome, but will be best suited for those working with DSLR or similar systems. Photographic Vision: Intimate Details and Personal Connections
February 13, 2016 10:00am - 5:00pm

Come explore Point Reyes with a very specific photographic perspective. We’ll spend the day learning about the techniques for finding and creating compelling panoramic images with a distinctive Point Reyes flavor. This class is for photographers who want to leave grand landscapes behind and train their eyes and cameras on smaller, more intimate details of the world around us. Using both field and classroom presentations, we will cover developing strong personal vision and incorporating detailed subject matter into a visual repertoire. All skill levels welcome.

Point Reyes: Off the Beaten Path

May 4 - 6, 2016 (Wednesday -> Friday)

Grab your camera and let’s go explore Point Reyes National Seashore. If you are passionate about outdoor photography, and want to push your skills and vision, come explore less-traveled Point Reyes locations. Field session focus will be on visual assessments of subject and lighting conditions, or working creatively in situations where compelling or dramatic landscapes might not be available. Class will involve short-distance light hiking over uneven terrain. The workshop will conclude with a group photo review and critique.

Accommodations are included at the Historic Lifeboat Station.
