Rain Storm Clouds over Yosemite Valley

This image was taken looking west in Yosemite Valley toward Cathedral Rocks in the background as a fall rain storm brought clouds to Yosemite National Park and the Sierra Nevaada. When storms and clouds arrive in the mountains, it is usually not the best time to photograph larger landscapes, like this scenic shot of Yosemite Valley. However the break of light happening off to the west provided some additional detail in the clouds as the mist and rain wafted along the steep sides of the valley.
