Sunset light on granite peaks above Tenaya Lake

Tenaya Lake is a beautiful mountain lake located along Tioga Pass Road in the heart of the Yosemite National Park high country. Many tourists and visitors to Yosemite National Park who travel toward Tuolumne Meadows or Tioga Pass often stop by to enjoy the cool blue alpine water of Tenaya Lake since it lies right next to the road. On this night a huge wall of gray thunderstorm clouds had built up over the central Sierra Nevada. A small opening off to the west allowed some of the beautiful warm golden sunset light to illuminate the granite peaks above Tenaya Lake to create this wonderful mountain lake scenic reflection shot.
