It took four days to solve why my email suddenly stopped. And I have a tech support lead to thank for solving this issue. He is the same person that solved the problem of this weblog going down so often over the last couple months. I finally emailed him directly on the fourth day, and pleaded for his direct intervention and assistance. It seems my poor little tech support ticket(s) kept getting bounced to the back of the line with the “we’ll get back to you within 48 hours”. Like a prayer being answered, my tech-saviour found the problem; too many files on my server. Doh! After stripping out a number of old folders, everything is back on track. Chalk this one up to “you learn something new everyday”. I just wish this lesson would have only taken one day, not four. Not one of 6 other base-level tech support personnel I spoke with over those four days ever mentioned this. GRrrrr!
What company hosts your website Gary? When it comes to my hosting company, I request for immediate assistance if I am desperate. In my emails to them, I demand my requests to be fixed asap. It usually works. 🙂
If I wasn’t clear, I don’t ask for assistance. I tell them to give it to me.
