Sunset from Sentinel Dome

This scenic view is from atop Sentinel Dome in Yosemite National Park, looking toward Half Dome and Tenaya Canyon. On this evening, a line of lentiuclar clouds hung over the top of the High Sierra crest to the east. After sunset, the rich pinkish red purple light known as alpenglow lit up the sky above this amazing landscape.  Behind Half Dome is Clouds Rest with its steep granite sloping granite forms one side of Tenaya Canyon. On the other side of the canyon is North Dome and Mount Watkins which lay at the north end of Yosemite Valley.
