Moon reflection at Taft Point

  This shot was taken after having previously shot another pre-visualized image of the moon hanging over Yosemite Valley and Taft Point at dawn. I'd driven all the way across Yosemite National Park in the middle of the night to hike down to Taft Point in the dark in time to photograph the moon at dawn. Once the sun rose, I continued to wander around Taft Point looking for other objects to use in a frame composed with the moon in the sky. When I came across this small puddle with the moon reflected in the water, I instantly realized I no longer even needed to have the moon in the sky to get an effective photograph.
