Photo: My wife, Connie, in the snow at Lake Tahoe, California
Anyone that knows me knows that I hate “Hallmark” Holidays. I don’t need a ‘special’ day to tell my wife or family I love them. I do that every day. This year, our plan is to spend Valentines Day as a family, doing a fun dinner and evening of bowling or other fun game(s).
In the meantime, I want to share a special Valentine’s Day gift; It’s a link to a wonderful independent film called Validation. It involves photography as an element of the story, but at it’s core is a great motif. Since I have a Masters Degree in Directing, Writing, and Acting for the theater, I generally don’t give recommendations easily. But this film, seen by almost a Million people, is really worth the 15 minute run time. – Enjoy. And… SMILE.
PS: Connie, Brandon, and Alyssa: I love you! 🙂
Hey Gary,
I don’t recognize that Hallmark Holiday either – never have – for the exact same reason as you. I always thought I was the only one – nice to know I’m not the only V-Day hater.
Gary,
I’m suckered into the holiday card thing; oh well. My daughter and family are spending the President’s Day weekend in Tahoe, just beating the bad weather by going up Thursday night… so the photo of Connie make me think of them.
Just got turned onto you by the interview you did with Rohn Engh; good stuff in that interview… thank you.
I’ll spend my Valentines Day meeting model for lunch in Livermore to discuss future shoot (also w/ property owner)… then going dancing with my wife in the evening.
Stay warm
Gary a.k.a. Dad,
We love you too…very much!
Thank you for being such a wonderful person in our lives.
Love, hugs, and kisses,
Connie, Brandon, Alyssa
