This scenic mountain view is taken from just inside the eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park at Tioga Pass. There you'll find a collection of small alpine tarns, that are like mini-ponds filled with cool, clear mountain water. The vista here looks of toward the distant mountains of Mammoth Peak and the Kuna Crest which rise above the high alpine Dana Meadows. This image was taken in early fall after a light dusting of snow fell on the mountain peaks after a small storm passed over the Sierra Nevada and Yosemite National Park.
