This shot of Half Dome is taken at Cooks Meadow with Yosemite National Park's most famous iconic landmark reflected in a pool of water in springtime in Yosemite Valley. The beautiful light of sunset on Half Dome is graced by a small cloud that floated across the mountain, just below the sheer vertical granite cliffs. In spring, the snowmelt and runoff water can form small areas standing water which makes for a perfect place in the green meadow grass to capture a scenic reflection of this magnificent Sierra Nevada landscape.
