However, I’m shorted by a mere 11,999,998 reasons when compared to photographer Liz Ordones-Dawes who has been awarded a $12 million dollar verdict for copyright violation of her registered photos. She may never get a dime of the actual award, but this case will stand as a strong signal in future cases that there can be very costly consequences of deliberately running off and using someone else’s photos.
