Picture: Sunset light through storm clouds on vineyard near Hopland, Mendocino County, California
Readers of my weblog are invited once again to get a sneak peek at another new online image gallery, this time, the Mendocino Wine Country. As before, please let me know if you find any broken links or oblivious miss pellings.
One thing about this image that you can’t really tell from looking at it was just how fleeting this moment of light really was. I had framed one vertical shot, rotated the camera, fired off one frame, and the light started to fade. By the time I got a new roll of film in the camera (which gives a new meaning to “the F-Word”; film) the light was completely gone from the whole valley, thanks to that quickly moving large bank of clouds in the sky.
