Picture #01: (Above) Evening moonrise over Half Dome and Yosemite Valley, Yosemite National Park, California
For the last number of years, I put together a retrospective of my Favorite Photos of the Year. Click here to see My Favorite Photos of 2018 — images taken with what I call my ‘real’ camera. Those are my “professional” photos that could become prints or used by clients in magazines or other publishing venues. Starting a few years ago, I decided to start making a second annual collection, namely My Favorite Cellphone Photos of the Year. The big difference is that I consider these images to be more personal, just for fun shots, or what I got if I didn’t have my ‘real’ cameras with me. But as is often said, “The best camera is the one you have with you.” At one time I outright rejected phone-cameras as not being a legitimate ‘real’ camera. However, I’ve since come to learn and enjoy showing that you can indeed do some wonderful photography with a cellphone.

The black and white oak tree and the tree tunnel are fabulous! Keep up the good work!
When I saw the Dakota/Milo photos I knew the snake couldn’t be far behind 🙂 . Next time I’m up that way I going to make a point to see Briones; camera phone or not, you’ve made it look inviting.
I love #3 the coastal cliffs, #4 the tree tunnel, #5 mountain biker, #9 Mount Diablo, #13 Brandon & Milo, all your pet photos. Wonderful photos thank you! =)
