I just got back another batch of keyworded images; this time it was my collection of 400 photos of Mendocino County taken for my book, Backroads of the California Wine Country. This is about as fresh as it gets, in that I just downloaded the images a couple hours ago. This doesn’t mean I’m all done, and the images are ready to go to my agent. Part of any workflow, and when working with any vendors, be they keywording, printing, spotting, or framing, is checking for quality assurance. So from here, my keywording workflow will involve checking over the applied keywords, removing any that aren’t appropriate, or adding additional words that I feel should also be included. I then provide this in a feedback letter, so that the keywording staff continues to gain a better insight and understanding of what I’m after. To review my images, and make any final adjustments to the keywording before sending the images to my agents, I use a combination of Image Info Toolkit, and Adobe Bridge.
