To shed more light on my last post about what was taking up so much of my free time over the last six weeks, I’d like to introduce my new, first, mistress. She’s unnamed of yet, but she’s a 1993 20′ Seaswirl Striper 205 w/ a 140 Hp OB.
After weeks of looking, I finally found the right boat, had her fully checked out, and picked her up yesterday. This morning, with my family aboard, we took her out for our first maiden voyage today, just before the storm winds rolled in.
I spent weeks checking boats, learning new things, and re-learning a lot of things that have been gathering cobwebs after not being on boats for nearly 20 years. I grew up boating on SF Bay with my dad, and now, I’ll get to pass on those same experiences to my son. Yes, I will be bringing my camera along on some trips, otherwise how would I justify a partial business deduction for my new shooting platform.
Well, back to business….
How about Catching Crabbes? 🙂 Looks like a lot of fun Gary! We’re going to the Farallon’s next week right?
