Point Reyes: Intimate Details and Personal Visions Photo Workshop ; August 11-13, 2017
I’d like to invite you to join my one of my favorite upcoming photo workshop classes called “Point Reyes: Intimate Details and Personal Vision.” It will be held August 11-13, 2017. Following is a basic class description. I’ve also included a gallery of images to whet your appetite. This class is run by the non-profit Point Reyes National Seashore Association. To register, or get more information, click the link to visit the PRNSA Field Institute website. I hope to see some of you there.
This photography workshop turns our eyes toward the smaller, more intimate details of the world around us. This doesn’t necessarily mean tiny, close-up macro photos. Instead we will explore how to use our vision to recognize and isolate important aspects of scenes and locations. The goal of this class is to stretch our photographic vision into areas we might not be normally accustomed to shooting, to improve our visual storytelling through composition, visualization, and the selective use of our equipment. We’ll also touch on photographic techniques like selective focus, focus stacking, and additional post-processing considerations.
This 3-day photo workshop includes classroom and field presentations, multiple location shoots, a photo review and critique, along with overnight accommodations at the Historic Lifeboat Station.
*** Special Favor: If you’re one of my Bay Area photography friends or past workshop participants, it would be wonderfully appreciated if you would share this with your other photo friends. – Thanks so much, – Gary. 🙂
