Photo: Morning fog over Sonoma Vineyard

Picture: Morning fog clearing along hills above vineyard, Alexander Valley, Sonoma County Wine Growing Region, California

A look ahead, as I’ll be paying a visit to the famed Alexander Valley wine growing region this weekend. This photo was taken for my book, Backroads of the California Wine Country. I’m a bit unsure how the weather will be, as this part of California is seeing it’s first storm system pass through. I won’t mind the rain, and would prefer some weather to plain blue skies. On a side note, the odd thing is that any time more than four drops of water fall from the sky, anywhere within 100 miles, all of our news stations automatically switch into their ‘storm watch’ mode. Franky, the only thing I anticipate getting washed out this weekend will be my wine glass – between tastings.

I recently licensed this image to one of the local wineries, so if you’re local, or into wine, keep your eyes peeled.

I love your book Backroads of the California Wine Country. The photographs are outstanding. I look at all your books often. You really capture the magic of California’s Wine Country. I can’t wait for your next book (War & Peace).

Charge up your camera batteries and go take some more wonderful photographs.

I should probably read your book to find out where Alexander Valley is, lol. I just look at the pictures. When your next book comes out, I’m actually going to pay you for it this time. 🙂

Btw, when it rains a drop or two down here it is declared a State of Emergency. And rightfully so. I mean how dare Mother Nature rain on us. Shame on her.
