In a “Newsworthy” item, we saw this week how a story that read as being tue good to be true, makes the rounds in the national media. Then we learn it was; too good to be true, that is. If it had been true, it would have been a great case of cosmic justice served in a last desperate act. The story originally appeared in CNN.
The short story basically reads like this: Man finds mouse in house. Man removes mouse from house, and throws in burning pile of leaves. Mouse catches fire, runs out of leaves & under house. Mouse & house become to toast.
Ahh well, the next day we learn that the house did burn, but due to winds fanning burning leaves at the house. The mouse, was tossed into the fire, but we are assured that the mouse was in fact dead when first removed from the house. Could this be dis-information for the animal rights faction?
The Moral of the story: Be kind to your small furry mammal friends. We were once all on the same rung of the evolutionary ladder.
