Picture: Pigeon Point Lighthouse at dawn over the Pacific Ocean, San Mateo County coast, California
Knock on wood. I’m almost afraid to say it out loud or in writing, but I’m also almost too excited to contain myself. A new book? A hot new assignment? A big print sale? No. Nothing so grand; rather it’s been 24 whole hours since I saw my last weblog wordpress error. Although I’ve spent hours on the phone and writing emails with my tech support, I’ve been too busy too really get stressed out about the problems. Let’s hope that the clouds are lifting, and my weblog won’t get permanently smashed to bits on some virtual coastal rocks.
This image was taken recently when I got to spend a weekend staying at the lighthouse in one of the Hostel bunkhouses. This image is really helped by the low-lying layer of offshore fog, because it provides the background with distinct warm and cool colored light.
