Picture: Dogwood flowers in bloom over the Merced River, Yosemite Valley, Yosemite National Park, California
I can’t believe it’s already been a week since I got home from my last trip. The good news is that I’ve been incredibly busy dealing with client sales, both for prints and stock. As you might recall from my last post, I described my last couple trips as being under the umbrella of a Water theme. Because I’ve been so busy, I’ll try and post a few more photo to share, but perhaps without any long-winded text or stories.
Every spring, many photographers have gone to Yosemite Valley in search of the beautiful Dogwood blossoms. As you first enter the valley proper, you cross a bridge right where the road merges from two-way traffic to one-way traffic on the South Rim Drive. It’s at this spot many photographers have captured scenes similar to this with the flowing Merced river water in the background.
By the way, many regular readers also know I don’t go around pound my chest screaming self-promotion or sales announcements all the time. Instead, I choose to offer the simple occasional reminders that if you ever see an image you like, please feel free to share it with your friends on Facebook through the “Like” button (below), share this post on Twitter via the Retweet button (above), or simply email the page to your friends. Your help in spreading and sharing my photography is always most humbly and graciously appreciated. – Thanks, Gary.

Beautiful image Gary. I have yet to see the dogwoods in person so this is very inspiring.
In regards to beating one’s own chest: you don’t need to very much because you are comfortable with who you are and your credentials speaks for itself the way it should.
Thanks, Richard. I definitely appreciate the comment. It’s a case of my Buddhist nature being in direct conflict with the business of needing to be a saleperson or a promoter.
Beautiful image Gary. I’ve never made it to Yosemite or Sequoia for the dogwood bloom, but was pleased to discover them in southern California this spring. They are lovely indeed!
Cheers,
Greg
This is beautiful! The colors are so wonderful with the bright green leaves and the reflected colors in the flowing water.
