One of the things that Yosemite National Park is known for most is the incredible natural beauty of Yosemite Valley, where steep granite cliffs rise thousands of feet above the valley floor. This incredible landscape is a geology wonder, carved by glaciers during the last ice age. While large sweeping views of the mountains is what many tourists come to see, sometimes it's the intimate details like this single pointed rock spire that sits along the sides of a cliff. Shrouded in fog, with the cliff in the background, this sharp jagged piece of rock reminds me of what a dragon's tooth might look like. From a photographic perspective, the shape of the rock is mirrored by the shape of the valley formed between the spire and the mountainside on the right edge.
