Picture: Golden sunrise light over the coastal hills above Gaviota State Beach, near Santa Barbara, California
One thing I can tell you is that this photo doesn’t live up to the reality of the environment. The northernmost public beach in southern California, you’d think it would be warm outside. This photo has a nice warm southern California feel to it. But that’s just not the case; it was 43 degrees with a 15 mph wind. I’ve been warmer riding on ski lifts in January than I was while taking this photo.
lol Gary. I was originally going to photograph Stearns Wharf yesterday morning but opted to watch the Lakers instead in my comfortably warm living room.
The warm tones can be deceiving. I remember those cool clear days in Santa Barbara. None the less this is a beautiful view. It sounds like your trip has been a productive one.
Hi Gary..We met this past weekend when my husband and I were on our 10th anniversary vacation..I found your card in my purse and decided to look up your website..Very nice, I must say. Well thank you for taking our picture. It was a pleasure meeting you.
Wuss. 🙂
I know what you mean – when you aren’t expecting it to be cold, it doesn’t take much of a temperature variation to make things uncomfortable.
Ron
By the way, sweet image Gary!
