Yosemite Valley and Yosemite National Park are wonderful landscapes year round, but in winter they can be a magical place of snow, cliffs, and frosted trees. This shot was taken while while a winter snow storm moved into the Sierra Nevada. While camping in Yosemite Valley, the weather was cold and gray as clouds hung over the rim of Yosemite Valley, clinging against the steep cliffs, rocks, and trees, coating them with snow that would melt before it reached the valley floor.
