Now that the holidays have passed, the New Year is well under way, and my recent post, My Favorite Landscape Photos of 2016 is slowly fading into the sunset, I decided this might be a good time to look back at my Favorite Cellphone Photos of 2016. These were all shot with my Samsung Galaxy S6 cellphone and processed using the Snapseed App. I often use borders and a different watermark to help easily distinguish my cellphone images from my ‘real’ photos that I take with my Nikon or Sony cameras. I also think of my cellphone shots on a more personal level, usually sharing them on my personal Instagram account, where you can clearly see the different look and feel of these images when compared to my Pro Instagram account.
They say that the best camera is the one you have with you, and if all you’re carrying is your cellphone, then it’s absolutely true. Also, if you’d like to try using the Snapseed app for processing your photos, you can download it from the Google Play Store or the iTunes App Store.
As usual, I’d love to hear if you have any favorite image(s).

I prefer the “as shot” version.
Gary,
All of your images are great, I am fond of Yosemite, I have enjoyed photographing there myself years ago. Your image of Yosemite Falls, I would say is my favorite image that you have taken. great work. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Oh, and the sea shore image is captivating..

Favorite is #3: The two troublemakers of different species: Brandon and Dakota. ? I love #12: Trees in a fog.
Your feature photo is gorgeous! (#1 Overlooking the hills…) and I’m partial to the little moo cow out for a stroll in the lush velvety green countryside. Great photos, all of them. Thanks for sharing!
