The kids are off school, the wife is off work, and I’m still trying to get work done. Shame on me.
I found out yesterday that my best friend’s dad past away this week from a long fight with cancer. I hadn’t seen his dad in many many years, but I could instantly feel and empathize with the void that my friend must now be feeling.
There is no better reminder than the passing of a loved one that we all need to take time to cherish and be thankful for our families, and the good things we have. It’s raining outside, and I think I’ll go make some hot chocolate and play some games with the family today.
