Participant Photos from my August 2019, 3-Day Point Reyes “Focus on Fog” Photography Workshop.

A few weeks ago I spent another weekend with a wonderful group of people at my 3-Day Point Reyes “Focus on Fog” Photo Workshop. As usual for Point Reyes during summer, the weather was quite cooperative given the theme and title of this class. I came up with this class title based on several previous summer workshops where the seasonal fog seemed to challenge participants. This time we used the fog to work a variety of scenes with the available soft light or using the fog itself as a subject.

There is a spot or two available for my next two upcoming photo workshops, including the one this next weekend, Sept. 13-15th, 2019. The other class is on October 4-6, 2019. More information and links to register are listed on my upcoming Photo Workshops. Registration is through the non-profit Point Reyes National Seashore Association. Each class has a maximum of six participants. Accommodations for both classes are at the wonderfully exclusive Chief’s House on Drakes Bay near Chimney Rock.

So now, without further delay, please enjoy these wonderful photos from the foggy environs of Point Reyes:

I hope you enjoyed these images, and if you feel like leaving a comment for the participants, I’m sure they’d love hearing from you.

Thanks so much for taking the time to look. 🙂 – Gary.

That is some seriously top-notch workshop photography there, Gary. I especially like that under the pier one. The sand abstract was amazing as well.

Great workshop photography. All these shots are wonderful. Sailboats in the fog and the pier are my favorites.

  • Great shots. I really need to get on one of your Point Reyes workshops soon. I’m heading up for a few days next week. More of a “dad’s” retreat with some good friends, but will be trying my best to get out and about with the camera. Would still really love to see this offered through the Stanford Continuing Studies program! Cheers, David.
