This is an image I took while my buddy, Michael Routh, and I trekked up the Zion River Narrows last fall. During our return walk to the valley, Michael ditched his camera and pack on some nearby rocks, and headed out into the middle of the river. “Take my picture”, he says. “This will be great!”. Ummm, OK; I’m easy. (No comments from the peanut gallery, please.) While framing the photo, I, being the true professional, urge, “Keep Going. More. More.” Michael responds, “No way”, and mumbles something about quicksand. Sheesh, what a pansy! (kidding.) Anyway, he was right, and the photo turned out great.
