Class pictures from the August 2016 Point Reyes: Intimate Details & Personal Vision photo workshop participants.

I’m delighted to present a sampling of the work created by a wonderful group of participants who recently joined me for a weekend photo workshop called, Point Reyes: Intimate Details and Personal Vision. This class was specifically looking away from the grand landscapes and towards much smaller scenes, so we were blessed to have an entire weekend of a solid, fog-filled skies. We all very much enjoyed getting to sleep in late and not chase the sunrise starting at 4:30 AM. The soft light of the gray skies allowed us to shoot details all day long. For a lot of people, scenes like these are a step outside their normal photographic comfort zone, and yet everyone did a remarkably great job turning their attention and equipment towards visual opportunities they might otherwise ignore or simply walk past.

If you’re interested in joining me for an upcoming workshop, I have a number of three-day workshops coming up in the next few months, including my 3-day class, Photographing the Beaches of Point Reyes, and a 1-day Panoramic Point Reyes photo workshop class coming up in September, on the 9th – 11th and on the 24th, respectively. Click here for a full list of upcoming group photo workshops.

So without further adieu, here are the photos. I’m sure the participants would love to hear any feedback or if you have any favorites if you’d care to leave a comment below. Thanks, – Gary.
