The Big News is finally out: Seven of my photos have been selected to appear as new U.S. Postage Stamps.

After nearly sixteen months of waiting and biting my lip, I can now finally and with great, humble pride announce that seven of my photos have been selected and immortalized as new USPS Stamps. My images appear as part of a brand new 20-image set of U.S. ‘Forever’ Postal Service stamps featured in a collection called, “O Beautiful” – an homage to the hymn, “America the Beautiful.”

To see which of my images were selected, I now have a special page showcasing the new stamps that tells how this came about and gives some background for each of the selected images.

Toward the bottom of the page in the MEDIA section, there are two videos you can watch. The first is an embedded video that is a feature story done by local ABC News station affiliate, KGO-TV. The second can be seen by clicking on the link to an in-studio interview I got to do while sitting at the anchor’s desk at our Bay Area’s KRON-TV News station.

This is such a huge professional and personal honor and definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. As excited as I am to share this news with everyone, I have also been extremely touched by all the congratulations and well-wishes that I’ve already received. It means more than I can possibly express.

The O Beautiful stamps were officially released on the evening of July 4th, and can be purchased at your local post office or by going online to the USPS Store.
